She has been awarded fellowships to Yaddo and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, and received the George Bennett Fellowship at Phillips Exeter Academy. A freelance writer, she serves as an editor for The Mars Hill Review. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband. Snow Island is her first novel.
